easyJet is a fast paced, high volume transforming business that has a total reliability on its IT systems, services and associated infrastructure. As such easyJet is looking to hire a Technical Architect into the Customer Management Centre (CMC) Technology team to lead the detailed design of solutions for the CMC domain, whilst realising the benefits of the architecture to meet business needs.

This position is part of the Customer Services Technology team, responsible for delivering and supporting critical platforms to our agents across Asia, Europe, and Africa. Our agents use a combination of internally developed applications and off-the-shelf products like Verint's Engagement Management. You will be required to lead technical meetings with IT, business, and third-party partners to identify and implement innovative solutions that enhance the customer experience when they contact us.

Job Purpose
As a Technical Architect for these services, you will be an expert in the technologies required to support the systems used by easyJet agents. Applications include off-the-shelf products like Verint's Engagement Management platform, IVRs, self-service capabilities, and process automation.

This role will work with the Enterprise Architecture team to define and shape the technical roadmap for our Contact Centres. As the lead on technical architecture related to the Customer Centre domain, this role should ensure long-term goals align with easyJet’s Enterprise IT and Technology strategies.

What you’ll need to do the role 

  • Accountable for preparing and maintaining technical architecture artefacts for In-flight retail technology, including AS-IS, TO-BE and transitional states 
    Accountable for publishing and maintaining design artefacts throughout the product lifecycle
    Accountable to prepare or support with designing and documenting technical solutions that meet functional and non-functional requirements.
    Collaborating with enterprise architecture and peers to identify and agree the technical standards, frameworks, tooling, and patterns for technical solutions adhering to enterprise standards and best practice.
    Supporting solution architects in the creation of end-to-end architecture. Accountable for the related technical design and any amendments resulting from Technical Design Assurance
    Provide technical expertise, guidance and technical assurance to developers/engineers ensuring consistency and conformity to agreed standards. 
    Work with onshore and nearshore development teams as required, including occasional travel

Requirements of the Role

 

Skills & Experience

  • Practical experience of owning and defining technical solutions and presenting them in technical forums
    Methodical, logical, and flexible in approach, you will have gained significant experience as a Technical Architect
    Good understanding of design best practices, including design principles & patterns, security and performance.
    Experience of working in a technology-based role and interfacing to a varied number of stakeholders
    Experience of operating in a distributed agile model and in supporting onshore and offshore delivery teams
    Knowledge of different modelling languages (such as UML, BPMN, ArchiMate, Essentials Project, Lucidchart)
    Experienced in managing and delivering through third-party suppliers, focusing on business outcomes and customer experience.
